Clive graduated from the University of Ulster in 2008 & shortly after became a member of the College of Optometrists. In 2011 he completed a postgraduate diploma in the theory of Cataract & Refractive Surgery whilst continuing to practice in both primary & secondary care settings.

Further experience was gained within the Hospital Optometry Service from 2012 – 2015 as Clive undertook Paediatric Refraction, Low Vision & Contact Lens Clinics, Macular Service Clinics & Adult Low Vision & Contact Lens Clinics.

In 2015 Clive returned to independent practice primarily in his hometown of Ballymena. In recent years he has further benefited from experience within a highly successful new practice in Belfast & has felt drawn to bring this positive optical experience to the town he grew up in.

With a wealth of optical knowledge, Clive is excited to open his own practice in Galgorm with a focus on a personal & welcoming touch for each & every individual who chooses to entrust him with their eyecare & eyewear needs.

I have a strong background in optics having trained & worked in the field for many years. I love helping our patients find the perfect frame and seeing the difference the perfect pair of specs’ can make to someone’s life.

When I’m not in work I am running around after my toddler who is full of energy and keeps me on my toes. Family time is so important to me & I really enjoy getting away with the family on short trips around the North Coast or holidays further afield.

I have been with Clive Fulton Eyecare since the practice opened in April ’24. Having lived just a ‘stones throw’ away for 31 years, I enjoy seeing familiar faces coming in and having a chat. I love my frames & have nearly as many pairs of specs as I have shoes! I really enjoy assisting those attending the practice to find the frame that’s best for them, whether neat & subtle or bright & bold.

In my spare time, I enjoy going to spin classes and I’ve recently taken up running & like starting my Saturday mornings at the local park run.

Carol is the newest member of our team at Clive Fulton Eyecare. Living locally, Carol brings many years of independent optical experience. She enjoys helping patients find the perfect frames and making the most of their vision. A keen follower of the local music scene, she loves travelling and spending time with her family and grandson, building Duplo and colouring in.
